National Honor Society Induction Ceremony
The Cotulla Chapter of the National Honor Society recently inducted new members during a ceremony held at the cafetorium. Another group of students were also inducted earlier in the spring. This marks the first time that the high school NHS has had 2 induction ceremonies in the spring. The reason for this was to accommodate an updated constitution that now takes into consideration students taking dual credit and advanced placement classes. Students being inducted recently were from left to right, Rebecca Salas, Leeza Roman, Alyssabel Garcia, Audrey Nieto, Gabriel Saenz, Aaron Chapa, Oscar Salazar, April Ramirez, Nelta Jenkins, Hannah Flores, and Elizabeth Saenz. District UIL Cotulla High School recently competed in district UiL academic competitions. Winning first place in Chemistry and 4th place overall on the Science test was Joey Gomez a Junior. He will compete at the regional level at TX State University in San Marcos. Joey, Terri Ho and Janelle Rocha won 3rd place team on the Science test. Briana Martinez, Luiz Garcia and Aaron Romero also competed on the Science team.
