Each year, Encinal Elementary staff members are honored during Teacher Appreciation Week by community members, organizations and businesses with gifts and food.

Encinal Elementary participated in Encinal's annual Cinco de mayo parade and received a 1st place trophy for their float for the 2nd year in a row!

On Saturday, April 22, the Methodist Healthcare Ministries Get Fit program sponsored a ‘Fun Run/Walk’ for students enrolled in the Get Fit program and their parents.  Encinal Elementary staff members who work in the Get Fit program joined the parents and students in walking/running from the school to the park.  There were a total of 26 participants.
 
Encinal Elementary is appreciative of the opportunity to join with Methodist Healthcare Ministries in providing opportunities for children to live a healthy life through the coordinated events provided in the Get Fit program.

Shelcy Garcia, former Encinal Elementary student and CHS graduate, presented to 5th graders @ EES on April 11. Shelcy attends Sam Houston University in Huntsville and is enrolled in a Police Strategies class which is part of the University's Academic Community Engagement program.  Shelcy's presentation was titled "Community Policing and Why It Matters".  The program was well-received by our students.  Thank you, Shelcy!

We are now collecting Box Tops to earn some cash for our school. Please clip box tops and turn them into your child's teacher.

 Help our school earn free educational equipment one receipt at a time!  Simply collect register receipts from any Lowe's supermarket and donate them to our school. Once the school deposits the receipts, they are converted into points and redeemed for equipment and supplies.
