The Cotulla FFA participated in the Leadership lab on Saturday, September 13, 2014.

Cotulla High School Seniors, Diana Garcia and Jacqueline Salas attended the 3rd Annual James Otis Lecture Program, to be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.  The program will be in the House of Representatives at the State Capitol in Austin, Texas.  The Seniors were accompanied by Samantha Longino, CHS Ag Teacher and FFA Sponsor.

Diana Garcia is the Student Council President, National Honor Society Member, and UILAcademic Competitor.  Jacqueline Salas is the National Honor Society Secretary and a UIL Academic Competitor.  Congratulations to both Jacqueline and Diana.

The essay topics for Apply Texas are listed below: 

  • Essay A: Describe a setting in which you have collaborated or interacted with people whose experiences and/or beliefs differ from yours. Address your initial feelings, and how those feelings were or were not changed by this experience.
  • Essay B: Describe a circumstance, obstacle or conflict in your life, and the skills and resources you used to resolve it. Did it change you? If so, how?
  • Essay C: Considering your lifetime goals, discuss how your current and future academic and extra-curricular activities might help you achieve your goals.

The essays should be at least 1 page long.  Save your essays on a USB and then you can copy and paste them to your application.  Applications for the Fall 2015 will be available August 1, 2014.  Please make sure that you meet the application deadlines.  If you received an ACT or SAT fee waiver, then you are eligible to receive ACT or SAT application fee waivers.  Just come by Mrs. Maldonado's office.
