SWTJC Dual-Credit Mandatory Orientation

All new Southwest Texas Junior College Dual-Credit students are required to attend orientation on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:00 am. 

Departure time is 8:00 am.  Arrival time back to CHS is approximately 2:00 pm.

Cotulla FFA Members Attend Texas FFA Convention in Fort Worth, Texas

Members from the Cotulla FFA chapter attended the 86th annual Texas FFA State Convention held July 14-18 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Cotulla FFA members who attended the convention were: Clarissa Consuegra, Jordyn Leone, Kade Northcut, Devlin Reese, and Karina Sauceda.

Karina Sauceda receiving the FFA Ambassador Award!

Kade Northcut receiving the Lone Star FFA Degree!  It is the highest FFA degree bestowed by a state FFA association.

Devlin Reese receiving the Lone Star FFA Degree!  It is the highest FFA degree bestowed by a FFA State association.

Devlin, Jordyn, Karina, Clarissa, and Kade participated in the 5K Walk/Run!

Hello Class of 2015,

The essay topics for Apply Texas are listed below: 

  • Essay A: Describe a setting in which you have collaborated or interacted with people whose experiences and/or beliefs differ from yours. Address your initial feelings, and how those feelings were or were not changed by this experience.
  • Essay B: Describe a circumstance, obstacle or conflict in your life, and the skills and resources you used to resolve it. Did it change you? If so, how?
  • Essay C: Considering your lifetime goals, discuss how your current and future academic and extra-curricular activities might help you achieve your goals.

The essays should be at least 1 page long.  Save your essays on a USB and then you can copy and paste them to your application.  Applications for the Fall 2015 will be available August 1, 2014.  Please make sure that you meet the application deadlines.  If you received an ACT or SAT fee waiver, then you are eligible to receive ACT or SAT application fee waivers.  Just come by Mrs. Maldonado's office.
