Mighty Cowboy Band Trip to New York City!

Members of the Mighty Cowboy Band have returned from this years’ band trip to New York City.  Student’s and chaperones enjoyed four days touring and visiting many of the city’s historical landmarks including; The  National  September 11 Memorial & Museum, the Empire State Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Lincoln Center, the Broadway Musical “Matilda”, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Time Square, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center and Central Park.

The group was also fortunate to have a workshop with a vocalist and violinist who have leading rolls in Broadway Musicals including “The Phantom of the Opera and Chicago”.

Students will accompanied by music department staff, Jaime Martinez, Marleni Garcia, Frank Ramirez and Sarah Stiles. Chaperones included parents, Frank and Cissy Miranda and Cynthia Martinez.


Athletic Physicals
All athletic physicals will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 for both Middle School & High School athletes.

30-AAA All District Baseball Team Awards

Congratulations to the following Cotulla Cowboys who received awards for the 30-AAA All District Baseball Team. 

Joseph Garcia-2nd Team Catcher, David Perez-2nd Team Shortstop, Edward Cruz-2nd Team Utility-DH, Tres Garcia-1st Team Pitcher, Abram DeLaGarza-2nd Team Outfielder, Andrew Sierra-1st Team Outfielder, Norberto Inocencio-2nd Team 3rd Baseman, and Bobby Niaves-2nd Team Second Baseman. Not pictured-Carlos Garza-2nd Team Picther. 


CHS Seniors to participate in All-Star Football Game

Kade Northcut and Jared Garcia have been asked to compete in the South Texas High School Coaches Association All Star Football Game on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 7 pm at Martin High School Shirley Field.  
Kade and Jared have participated in Football all four years in High School. They were voted Varsity Football Captains for their Senior year and the Cotulla Cowboys were Bi-District Champs and advanced to the Area Playoffs.  Kade received the 2013 Honorable Mention Defensive End and 2014 1st Team All District Running Back and Outside Linebacker.  Jared received 2012 Honorable Mention Offensive Line, 2013 2nd Team Offensive Tackle, and 2014 1st Team All District Center.
Kade is the son of Butch Northcut and Tina Burnside.  He will be attending Texas A&M Univesity in College Station, Texas in the Fall 2015.
Jared is the son of Javier and Loretta Garcia.  He will be be attending Texas Lutheran University and will be playing Football in the Fall for the TLU Bulldogs.  
CHS Varsity Cheerleader selected to cheer at All Star Football Game
Roberta Faith Garcia, CHS Senior and 2014 Varsity Co-Captain, was selected to cheer at the South Texas High School Coaches Association All Star Football Game. 
Bobbie Faith will cheer on her fellow classmates who will play on the West Team this Saturday. 
She has been a Varsity Cheerleader all four years in High School and has represented Cotulla High School at various cheerleading events in New York and London. 
She is the daughter of Myrta Garcia and the late Ernesto Garcia Jr. 
Bobbie Faith will be attending Northwest Vista College in the Fall 2015.
